"This Moog Music Inc. promo for Moogfest 2010 features audio of Bob Moog provided by the Bob Moog Foundation. The audio is from a tape that was donated to the Foundation by pioneering synthesist Herb Deutsch, who collaborated with Bob on the first prototype modular-- the Abominatron. In the 84 minute tape, Bob methodically explains the functions of the modular. Bob took piano for many years as a young person, and could readily play, although he was very modest about his ability. He made a nearly innocent statement in this clip that others with more musicianship could get "some good things" out of the instrument-- it is a sincerely prophetic statement. The Abominatron II, a 6' 7" tower of Moog Music's hand-crafted synthesizers and effects pedals will be featured on-stage during Moogfest 2010, a 3 day music festival featuring Massive Attack, Devo, Thievery Corporation, Big Boi, MGMT and many others. Tickets are on sale now at MoogFest.com!" -FromYouTube.com
"There's no separating the unparalleled legacy of the Doobie Brothers from their upcoming HOR Records release World Gone Crazy -- not that anyone would want to. Nevertheless, the new album may be most remarkable for the extent to which it stands completely on its own. Yes, World Gone Crazy is another chapter in one of the great American music stories, but it's neither comeback nor nostalgia. An exhibition of aggressive and emotional performances, evocative storytelling, unapologetic attitude and world class musicianship, the collection is its own justification."
Be Here to Love Me Feature Film ~ 1:40:26 min.
Perhaps one of the most underrated songwriters of the last century, Be Here To Love Me chronicles the fascinating and often turbulent life of Townes Van Zandt with a simple unpredictability that mimics the way the artist lived his short life.

"Primus will take to the road on 9/14 for the 2nd Annual Oddity Faire. The Oddity Faire is a freak show like no other and this year the tour starts off with a stop in Sacramento, and promises to get really strange with a special two night stand at the Club Nokia in downtown LA - including a complete performance of Frizze Fry on September 16th." -FromLesClaypool.com

FLY Children's Art Center Recently I was asked by the wonderful and talented Ruth Marks, the creator and person behind the Ypsilanti based FLY Children's Art Center, to create a video that helped share what FLY is and why it's a unique experience for children.
From the FLY website: "FLY open studio sessions are an environment where children are self directed artists. Children at FLY practice decision making, problem solving, risk taking and creative synthesis in a safe and supportive environment."
