Wetlands Preserved
WETLANDS was one of the hottest music venues in New York City for over 10 years. Until 2001 this former Chinese food warehouse in Tribeca hosted the latest up-and-coming artists in every musical genre. People still rave about the time they first encountered DAVE MATTHEWS BANDS, BLUE TRAVLER, PHISH or PEARL JAM. Others never visited, but have seen the signature Wetlands bus in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or have listened to the celebrated live recordings from the club's intimate stage.
But Wetlands was more than a typical rock and roll joint. For many the name evokes a spirit, a community, an ethos. As a self-styled "Eco-Saloon," the place was as devoted to environmental and political issues as it was to partying and great music. This insightful and entertaining new documentary tracks the history of this first-ever activist nightclub, with vintage footage, original recordings and new digital animation.

Phish ~ Dates Added to Summer Tour 2011
"Additional tour dates have been added to Phish's 2011 Summer Tour, including the band's first concert at the Hollywood Bowl (returning to Los Angeles for the first time since 2003), and their concert debut in scenic Lake Tahoe. The band will also play in San Francisco at the Outside Lands Music Festival in Golden Gate Park, two consecutive nights at The Gorge in George, WA and a three-night stand at Chicago's UIC Pavilion.
Phish kicks off their 2011 Summer Tour on Memorial Day weekend, with three consecutive nights (May 27, 28 & 29) at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY. Stops along the way include Cleveland, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Darien Lake and more, as well as 2-night runs in Holmdel, Columbia and Alpharetta. All Proceeds from "The Wheel – A Musical Celebration of Jerry Garcia" will benefit the Rex Foundation. Recorded 12/4/10 in San Francisco the benefit concert featured a mixture of Jerry Garcia’s contemporaries and younger jamband musicians playing some of his most well known songs. Many of the artists shared a deep connection with Garcia that dated back to the early 1960s. This collaboration of artists featured Jesse McReynolds, Peter Rowan, David Nelson and members of their bands.
